The flats are located on the corner of Mary Arch Street and Bartholomew Street in Exeter city centre - ensuring you are close to the University, train station and the rest of the city. With the city centre's shopping area just around the corner and a number of live music venues, lively bars, great cafes and restaurants, there are plenty of exciting things to see and do in the area. In addition, The Neighborhood Exeter is just a short bus ride from the University of Exeter and St Luke's campuses, making it ideal for student accommodation.

Newly opened in 2020, The Neighbourhood Exeter has a maximum of three floors and can accommodate up to 160 students at any one time. The flats are available in En-suite (en-suite bathroom, shared kitchen) and Studio (en-suite bathroom, separate kitchen), and all bedrooms are furnished with a comfortable double bed, full-length mirror, large wardrobe and study area. There are also communal areas such as study spaces, a lively and vibrant gym, a cinema, restaurants and karaoke lounges - we have so much to offer you to ensure your university experience is as easy, safe, comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

 

Location and What's Hot?

The Neighbourhood Exeter is located on the corner of Mary Arch and Bartholomew Streets, with a variety of restaurants within a two-minute walk, such as Forn (Spanish restaurant), Steaks N Sushi (Japanese restaurant), Jasmine Thai Restaurant (Thai restaurant), Fusion (Chinese restaurant), and a wide range of cafés. Various cafes and drink shops are nearby, and a supermarket, Sainsbury's, is a 3-minute walk away. There are supermarkets in the city centre, such as Tesco, shopping centres like Harlequins Shopping, and shopping malls like Marks & Spencer. Most places are within walking distance of the halls of residence.

 

Transport

The Neighbourhood Exeter is located in the centre of Exeter and is a 25-minute walk from the flats to the University of Exeter. The University of Exeter St Luke's Campus is a 20-minute walk away, Exeter College Technology Centre is a 34-minute walk away by public transport, Fore Street bus station is a 3-minute walk away, and Exeter Central train station is an 8-minute walk away, allowing students to travel to all parts of Exeter.

Cancellation Policy

No Place No Pay

You may be eligible to be released from your agreement if:
* No restrictions on student types
- Your offer of a place at your preferred University/Higher Education institution is withdrawn as a result of you not achieving the required entry grades.
* The deadline for cancellation requests of this nature will be 31st August 2024 for the 2024/25 academic year.
- You have surpassed your required entry grades and choose to go to a different University or you have extenuating circumstances that prevents you taking your place at university.
* The deadline for cancellation requests of this nature will be 31st August 2024 for the 2024/25 academic year.

In order to meet the criteria, you will need one of the following:
- To provide a written rejection letter from your chosen university/Higher Education Institute
- Evidence as to why you cannot take your place.

Refund Guarantees Time Limit

15 day cooling off period
You will have 15 days from making your booking to sign the Tenancy Agreement. The Reservation Rent is fully refundable if you cancel your booking within this period.
Once the Tenancy Agreement has been signed, the Reservation Rent will be held until the first rental payment falls due under your Tenancy Agreement and will be offset against the amount due.
To cancel your booking, you must tell Accommodation Supplier in writing by sending an email to Accommodation Supplier.

Booking, Cancellation Policy, and Liability (England and Wales)
To apply for and book, a flat or bedroom at Accommodation Supplier managed property, you must pay £100 to reserve the room (described herein as "Reservation Rent"). This payment is made at the time of booking through accommodation supplier on-line booking system.
You will have 15 days from making your booking to sign the Tenancy Agreement. The Reservation Rent is fully refundable if you cancel your booking within this period.
Once the Tenancy Agreement has been signed, the Reservation Rent will be held until the first rental payment falls due under your Tenancy Agreement and will be offset against the amount due.
To cancel your booking, you must tell Accommodation Supplier in writing by sending an email to Accommodation Supplier.

It is important that you understand that when you sign your Tenancy Agreement, you are entering into a legal agreement with the Landlord, and are liable for the full rent due for the Residential Period.

Accommodation Supplier's terms and conditions require you to sign your Tenancy Agreement online within 15 days of receiving the Offer of Accommodation.
If you fail to sign your agreement within this timescale Accommodation Supplier may cancel your booking, giving notice by email, and you will forfeit any "reservation rent" paid if it is outside the 15-day cooling off period.
